At FidoHikes, we take our recommendations seriously. Your dog's safety and comfort depend on the gear and advice we share, so we hold ourselves to high standards.

Product Research and Personal Experience

• Product coverage may use published specifications, manufacturer instructions and other cited sources. Inclusion does not mean we bought or personally tested a product.
• Firsthand testing claims require confirmed use of the exact product and support for the stated conditions and results. We do not invent testing mileage, measurements or anecdotes.
• Our 900-mile Appalachian Trail history is personal background, not evidence that a particular product was used on that hike.
• Manufacturer and third-party test results must be attributed to their sources, with limitations kept clear.
• Unsupported experience claims should be removed. We correct content when its evidence is missing or inaccurate.

How We Research Content

• Trail and destination information is verified against official park/land management sources
• Health and safety advice references veterinary guidelines and published research
• We note when regulations or trail access may have changed since publication
