These terms govern your use of fidohikes.com (the "Site"). FidoHikes is owned and operated by Trisha Dach, a sole operator based in the United States. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Site.

Using the Site

Everything we publish is free to read. You may link to our articles and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not scrape, republish, or resell our content, images, or calculator data, or use them to train commercial models, without written permission.

You agree not to use the Site to:

• break any law, or infringe anyone's rights
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or data
• interfere with the Site's operation, including by automated scraping that degrades service
• misrepresent your identity when contacting us or creating an account

Not Veterinary Advice

This is the most important thing on this page. FidoHikes publishes trail experience, gear testing, and general information about hiking and camping with dogs. We are not veterinarians, and nothing on this Site is veterinary advice. Our calorie calculator and Meal Plan Pro produce estimates based on general formulas and the numbers you enter — they are a planning aid, not a feeding prescription.

Every dog is different. Age, health conditions, medications, pregnancy, breed, and conditioning all change what is safe. Talk to your veterinarian before making changes to your dog's diet, before starting a demanding hiking program, and any time your dog shows signs of illness or injury. Hiking and camping carry real risks for dogs, including heat injury, dehydration, paw damage, wildlife encounters, and terrain hazards. You are responsible for your dog's safety and for judging what your dog can handle.

Accounts

Some features require a FidoHikes account, created with a one-tap email sign-in link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the Site.

Meal Plan Pro — Purchases and Refunds

Meal Plan Pro is a $19 one-time purchase. It is not a subscription: there is no recurring billing, no automatic renewal, and nothing to cancel. Payment is processed by Stripe, and FidoHikes never receives or stores your full card number. Access is granted to the account that made the purchase, for personal, non-commercial use.

Because Meal Plan Pro is a digital product delivered immediately, we don't run an automated refund flow. If it doesn't work, isn't what you expected, or you were charged in error, email [email protected] and we will review the request and make it right. We'd rather refund you than have you feel stuck with something you don't use.

Prices and features may change over time. Changes never apply retroactively to a purchase you already made.

Many product links on the Site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy through them at no extra cost to you — see our Affiliate Disclosure. Your purchase is a transaction between you and that merchant. FidoHikes is not the seller, and we are not responsible for merchant pricing, availability, shipping, warranties, returns, or product defects. Prices and availability shown on the Site are captured at a point in time and may be out of date.

Third-Party Links

We link to trail authorities, manufacturers, research, and retailers. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

Intellectual Property

The content on this Site — articles, photography, calculators, data compilations, and the FidoHikes name and logo — belongs to FidoHikes unless stated otherwise, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Product names and brands mentioned belong to their respective owners.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to be accurate, but we do not warrant that content, prices, calculator output, or trail information are complete, current, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FidoHikes and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, its tools, or any product you buy through a link on it. For any direct claim relating to Meal Plan Pro, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it, and forms part of these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the Site changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
